Moscow warns: travel to the USA and other western countries are dangerous!

The alarm bells ring in Russia! The government has urged that citizens who travel to the United States and other western countries could be in serious danger. In a dramatic message, the Foreign Ministry said that Russians could possibly be "hunted" by the authorities in these countries.

Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman for the ministry, left no doubt in a press conference on Wednesday that relationships between Russia and the USA are at a dangerous low. "Travel to the United States, be it privately or for official reasons, are associated with considerable risks," she warned, describing the relationships as "on the sidelines of the break".

Avoiding travel to the West

But that's not all! Zakharova urgently advised the Russians from traveling to Canada and most EU countries. She described these countries as the “satellites” of the United States, which should also be enjoyed with caution. The message is clear: who travels to the West plays with the fire!

The United States has also given a travel warning for its citizens who want to travel to Russia. There you could expect harassment or arrest from Russian security authorities. The warnings of both sides illustrate the tense situation between the two countries.

a dangerous conflict

Diplomatic relationships between Russia and the United States are currently worse than since the Cuban Crisis in 1962. The continuing war in Ukraine has further fueled the tensions. The United States has granted Ukraine massive military support in the amount of $ 62 billion in February 2022 since the large -scale invasion of Russia.

A turning point in the conflict was the approval of the United States that Ukraine can use American long-range missiles deep into the Russian territory. Moscow made this decision angry and increased the nuclear threat. Zakharova also criticized a $ 20 billion in US loans to Ukraine, which is to be secured by profits from seized Russian assets. "This is a manic wish to extend the suffering of the Kiev regime and all these corrupt business that has created the bidders around the situation in Ukraine," said Zakharova to Russian media.

The mutual allegations of arbitrary arrests and false charges are the order of the day. In August, three US citizens, including journalist Evan Gershkovich, were released with western countries as part of an extensive prisoner exchange. In return, the United States released several convicted Russians that were involved in cybercrime.
