Mobile phone -free zones in kindergarten: parents demanded for more donation!
Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - On February 11, 2025, the Safer Internet Day celebrates its 22nd anniversary, and at the start, an important concern of the Austrian family association is carried out in public: the creation of cell phone -free zones in kindergartens. "We want to encourage parents to consciously put their smartphones away," emphasizes the new president of the family association. z. No Mag.A Johanna Jachs. At a time when digital media dominate our lives, personal interaction with children takes a back seat. "Especially after hours in strangers, it is important to give their children the feeling: you are important to me!" further explains Jachs.
The idea behind the cell phone -free zones is clear: the short time when bringing and picking up in kindergarten should be completely devoted to the child, without distraction through smartphones. "It is very important to us to strengthen parents and give them good tools for their tasks in child rearing," explains Jachs. The initiative not only aims to promote the concentration of parents, but also to establish a conscious and relaxed use of digital media in order to strengthen the emotional connection to the children.
new Tour in the family association
in parallel to this reconnaissance campaign, Johanna Jachs leads the family association and thus follows the long -time President Bernhard Baier. Among other things, the valorization of family allowance and the introduction of the family bonus were promoted under Baier. Jachs, who now heads the fortunes of the largest independent family association in Austria, thanked Baier for his great commitment to the Austrian families. "Family policy has to focus on the well -being of the children. I am pleased that with Johanna Jachs we have a strong fighter for families at our head," said Baier. Family Minister Susanne Raab supports this statement and emphasizes how important the personal responsibility of the parents is in education. "Nobody knows the children as well as their parents," emphasizes Raab.
