Election posters disappeared into Matzendorf-Hölles: mysterious vandalism!
Matzendorf-Hölles, Österreich - in Matzendorf-Hölles, a vandalism act was committed to the FPÖ on Epiphany. All 15 election posters, which were properly hung in the municipal area, were demolished in the night from 7th to January 8th and disposed of in garbage cans. Adrian Rusu, the FPÖ top candidate, reacted to the action with a personal feeling of insult, but expressed that he had calmed down again. Despite the possibility of reusing some of the non -severely damaged posters, the damage is shown in the form of lost time and money. Rusu announced that the police report complaint and hopes for information from the population: "Maybe someone saw something," he emphasized.
Such incidents raise questions about political culture and remind you that, as the saying says: "Not the gods burn the clay pots, but ordinary mortals." This applies, especially in times of political tensions and disputes in which respect and fairness are often pushed into the background. A political dialogue should always be based on a foundation of courtesy and decency in order to protect the integrity of the democratic process, as well as numerous Russian proverbs that often show that all things have their place and their time.
In the current situation, it remains to be seen whether the police will receive information on this incident in order to determine the perpetrators and prevent other vandalism acts in the community.
