Villach's Bruno Gircoli Prize: Young talents in the spotlight!
The city of Villach is once again a pioneer in the promotion of young talents. For eight years now, the respected “Bruno Gircoli Promotion Prize” has been awarded to offer talented artists a platform. Culture officer and Vice Mayor Gerda Sandriesser emphasizes the importance of this support: "It is important to us to support young, aspiring artists, to promote their development and to offer them a larger stage - that is the thought behind this price," she explains. The prize money is mainly financed by patron Wolfgang Gabriel and by numerous donations. If you want to apply for the price by the end of February, you have to be under 30 years old and address your suggestions to the culture department in writing ( Klick-kaernten.at ).
A price that is for inspiration
As part of the sponsoring award, numerous outstanding talents have been awarded in the past, including actress Philine Schmölzer, illustrator Julia Presslauer and jazz musician Lukas Gabric. The prize not only recognizes young artists, but also encourages them to further develop their impressive work. As in the past, the city gives the coveted price again this year, and the selection will again include a wide range of disciplines. "The funding award should give exactly this incentive and at the same time represent valuable recognition by the citizens of our city," says Sandriesser, as well as 5min.at . Due to the increased budgets in the cultural sector, Villach shows that the support of creative initiatives plays a central role in their political agenda.
