Austria's cultural treasure: Bösendorfer wing for the Expo 2025 in Osaka!

Wiener Neustadt, Österreich - An extraordinary event took place today, on March 13, 2025, at the Bösendorfer piano manufacturer in Wiener Neustadt: the presentation of a design wing specially designed for Expo 2025 in Osaka, which is supposed to represent the Austrian craftsmanship on an international parquet. In the presence of Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner and other prominent guests, the instrument, which is made in a limited edition of only 16 pieces, was unveiled. The Expo 2025 is under the motto "Designing Future Society for our Lives" and aims to combine innovative ideas and artistic masterpieces. As part of this international exhibition, Austria will be represented with an impressive pavilion under the motto "Composing the Future", which conveys a unique experience of tradition and innovation. As the Newsletter of the BMAW , the Bösendorfer wing will be equipped with the latest Yamaha technology. This is enriched by interactive music experiences that are supported by artificial intelligence. A highlight of the event will be the Austrian Nations Day, which offers a concert by the Viennese singing boy and celebrates the connection of music and culture.

On the Expo, a 16-meter high note band made of wood, manufactured by Graf Holztechnik, is also adorned with the Austria Pavilion. In addition to musical performances, the Lower Austria Tonkunstler Orchestra plans a tour of Japan to further consolidate the cultural gang. Overall, the Expo 2025 will offer a platform for the exchange and deepening of the economic relationships between Austria and Japan, where around 80 Lower Austrian companies are already active. Preparations for this important international appearance are in full swing, and the Bösendorfer Manufaktur plays a key role.
