Explode asylum numbers: FPÖ demands radical stopping immigration!
Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - In the Austrian National Council, FPÖ security spokesman NABG. Hannes Amesbauer describes the current asylum figures as worrying. In a current session, he agreed that the “asylum brake” propagated by the ÖVP does not show the desired effects. According to Amesbauer, over 21,000 asylum applications were made by the end of October 2024 alone, and it is estimated that around 25,000 applications will be submitted by the end of the year. In contrast, in 2018 during the term of office of Interior Minister Herbert Kickl there were only around 13,700 applications. This makes it clear that the ÖVP under Interior Minister Gerhard Karner processes significantly more applications than under Kickl, which Amesbauer branded as a "number trickery". This information was also confirmed by
Amesbauer criticized the ÖVP sharply and emphasized that it was responsible for the "massive budgetary stress" of recent years. He mentioned specific problems in the social, educational and health-related area as well as the increase in crime and security concerns, which in his opinion are related to the high immigration. He also described the situation as "Islamization" and warned of the consequences of social conflicts that result from illegal immigration. These strong allegations, which he expressed during his speech, illustrate that the FPÖ clearly positions itself against the current asylum policy of the government, while the ÖVP apparently sticks to another course. Amesbauer also called for a comprehensive asylum stop and rigorous deportation. In his opinion, this can only be achieved by the FPÖ led by candidate for chancellor Herbert Kickl. "It's about the livelihood of the Austrians. The boat is overcrowded!", He concluded his argument. The accusation to the government of trivializing its approach is underpinned by the rapidly increasing number of asylums, which the FPÖ clearly describes as an unsustainable state. This is clear contrary to the cheering statements of ÖVP representatives who obviously want to talk small, which is referred to by the FPÖ as "mockery of the Austrian population", as has already been reported in a report by
