Full fire on the A65: drivers saved, but Hyundai completely destroyed!

on the A65 between Haßloch and Dannstadt-Schauernheim there was a dramatic incident on 04.11.2024 at 2:50 p.m.: A Hyundai was hit by a full fire! The 65-year-old driver experienced a shock moment when flames suddenly hit the engine compartment while driving. He reacted at lightning speed and steered the burning vehicle onto the hard shoulder before he was able to flee to safety. A great luck that nobody was injured!

The fire of the car, however, was devastating: the Hyundai burned out completely. In order to support the fire brigade in combating the flames and the subsequent rescue work, the direction of travel Ludwigshafen had to be closed for about half an hour. This led to massive traffic disruptions, since the road was temporarily completely paralyzed. The full closure was only lifted at around 3:45 p.m., and the left lane could be made available to the waiting car drivers.
