Traffic education for elementary school students: Holiday campaign in Lübeck starts!

The Lübeck police department has launched an initiative to draw primary school students at the dangers and rules of road traffic during the upcoming autumn holidays. Organized by the police prevention center, the program takes place in the youth traffic school at the Meesenring. The target group are children between the ages of 6 and 11. This traffic education extends over a total of four appointments that are intended for the young road users.

Specifically, the events for the children are scheduled for the following days: On October 22, 2024, two time windows are available, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. In addition, an offer will also be carried out on October 24, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. These training courses take place in the youth traffic school, Meesenring 7 in Lübeck.

The aim of traffic education is to teach the children the right behavior as a pedestrian and cyclists and to strengthen their self -confidence in participating in road traffic. The children have the opportunity to try out various means of transportation, including their own bike or go -karts that are particularly popular with children.

The registration is required and the places are limited. Interested parents are invited to register their children on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 0451-1316414. Parents are expressly invited to attend the event with their children. It is recommended that the children bring their own bike and a helmet, since rental bikes and helmets are only available in a limited number.
