There was a spectacular accident on the A7 near Drispenstedt today that caused massive disruption! At around 12:30 p.m., an 83-year-old Mazda driver failed to pay attention when entering the motorway and collided directly with the center guardrail. The tragic result: This was postponed, which led to the immediate closure of the left northbound lane!

All traffic was diverted via the southbound carriageway, where two lanes in each direction were separated by a mobile central guardrail. But the chaos wasn't over yet! A 44-year-old Ford driver who was traveling towards Hanover also collided with the displaced plank. Fortunately, he was uninjured, but was unable to drive his vehicle and waited for the police.

Drastic consequences of the accident

After the dramatic incident, the Mazda that caused the accident was significantly damaged and had to be towed away. The senior was taken to hospital, where his health status currently remains unclear - the question of whether he is injured and to what extent is still unclear.
