A shocking incident in Ulm who made the neighborhood take notice! On Monday morning, a 35-year-old was custody due to alleged slump. The crime occurred around 6.10 a.m. when a 59-year-old homeowner met a strange man with a flashlight in Uhlandstrasse. In a dramatic moment, the burglar managed to flee through the patio door!

But the police could not be shaken up! The perpetrator could finally be identified with a rapid use and a comprehensive search. An attentive employee of the security service of a refugee accommodation became the key witness and provided the crucial note: A resident of the accommodation in the Mähringer Weg! This note led the officials directly to the suspect's arrest.

The investigators searched the room of the 35-year-old and found valuable stolen goods. During the search, they ensured an iPhone and several smartwatches that could be assigned to the break -in. The already known man was quickly taken into custody and demonstrated on the same day of the responsible judge at the Ulm District Court.

At the request of the public prosecutor, an arrest warrant was issued due to the urgent suspicion of the serious burglary. The suspect is now sitting behind bars in a correctional facility.
