On Monday morning, November 11th, a 66-year-old woman experienced a nightmare in the shopping center on Kölner Strasse: an unknown man brutally attacked her on the escalator. As she drove up, the perpetrator suddenly appeared behind her and tried to steal her backpack. The woman bravely defended herself, but the attacker did not give up and kicked her, which led to a fall on the escalator railing!

A brave reaction of a passerby saved the situation! The latter hurried to the woman, which made the unscrupulous perpetrator to flee without prey. The Rhein-Erft-Kreis police immediately started the investigation and are now looking for witnesses who could have seen something. All information about the perpetrator who committed a brazen attack on an older lady are welcome!
