A tragic traffic accident shook the Pattensen region on Friday evening, October 25, 2024. An 82-year-old driver from Laatzen lost his life in his devastating crash on the state road (L) tragically. In a shocking moment, the driver got into a left curve with his Nissan Micra at around 6:30 p.m. and came to the right of the road for the right cause.

The impact against a tree was anything but gentle. The force of the accident was so strong that the senior died on site. The police are now dealing with the research to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident. The accident occurred between Pattensen and the Hüpede district and turned the entire traffic situation upside down on the L 402. During the rescue work, the road had to be blocked in both directions for almost three hours, which led to significant traffic disruptions. The property damage is estimated at around 3,000 euros.
