Serious accident in Rimsingen: motorcyclist critically injured!

Freiburg, a dramatic Sunday!On October 27, 2024, around 1:20 p.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on the B31, at the dreaded Rimsinger Ei, which could change the fate of a 56-year-old motorcyclist forever. The biker collided with a devastating impact when a 70-year-old driver apparently ignored the right of way at a stop. The motorcyclist was coming from the direction of Hausen when he suddenly found himself in the danger zone!

The collision was violent! The 56-year-old crashed into the right side of the reckless driver's vehicle at high speed. The result is life-threatening injuries that had to be treated in a clinic as quickly as possible. A rescue helicopter was deployed to take the seriously injured man to the hospital immediately - a race against time!

Investigations underway

The Freiburg traffic police have already started an investigation to clarify the exact course of the accident. Both vehicles were seized and the resulting material damage amounts to around EUR 14,000. Is this a call for increased mindfulness on the road?
