Drama on the B10! In a shocking turn of events, on October 25, 2024, at around 10:30 p.m., a van suddenly overturned near Hinterweidenthal after crashing with full force into the central barrier. It was only thanks to the great luck of the bystanders that other road users were not involved in the chaos, while the vehicle rolled spectacularly across the oncoming lane and came to a stop in the nearby grass verge.
The driver responsible, a 34-year-old Pole, escaped with minor injuries and received immediate medical attention at the scene before being transported to hospital for further monitoring. But the shocking news doesn't just come from the accident itself! A breath alcohol test revealed an alarming level of 2.19 per mille - and that's not all. Shockingly, the driver was also driving without a valid license!
Legal consequences for the driver
The police reacted immediately and initiated criminal proceedings against the driver. A security deposit was also retained. This incident casts a dark shadow on road safety - drinking and driving is irresponsible and in this case ultimately led to a dramatic accident.
