Shock in Lübeck: Motorists escape with a 12-year-old after an accident!
in Lübeck there was a worrying incident on Tuesday morning (October 1st, 2024), in which a 12-year-old boy was hit by a car. The boy wanted to cross the Moislinger Allee in front of the Lutherkirche when a silver small car apparently touched him when turning from Kolberger Straße. The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. when the guy wanted to cross the street in green light.
The situation fealed quickly when the car touched the pedestrian on his right knee, which led to the boy fell to the ground and injured himself. Instead of helping, the driver continued his journey towards the city center. The boy was able to go home independently after the accident, where his mother finally brought him to a doctor.
witnesses and information wanted
The driver, who is said to be about 40 years old according to the injured, had dark skin and dark hair. At the time of the accident, he wore a striking yellow warning vest with red stripes. Despite the detailed description of the driver, the information about the fleeting vehicle is rather sparse: it was a small, silver car, unfortunately the boy could not clarify.
The Lübeck police started a witness call. People who have information about the incident or the vehicle they are looking for are asked to contact the 2nd police station in Lübeck. The phone number is 0451 - 1316245 and alternatively an email to ed.luebeck.2pr@polizei.landsh.de can also be sent. Every little information could help to find the fleeting driver.
Such incidents throw a worrying light on traffic safety in urban areas, especially when it comes to the safety of children as road users worth protecting. The police are therefore very interested in clarifying this case as soon as possible.
