In the late evening hours of November 7th, 2024, a fire blazed in a parking lot in the Hans-Steffens-Weg when a VW Multivan suddenly went up in flames. The infernal spectacle spread rapidly to an adjacent BMW and several garage doors, which led to an alarming property damage of over 45,000 euros. In the same breath, a blatant car theft in Amelinghausen is to be reported: a high-quality white Mercedes GL, license plate "LG-SL XX", was stolen from a parking space between 06. and November 7, 2024.
