In Zülpich, Sunday night was anything but quiet! At 12:50 a.m. a police patrol car crew noticed a suspicious Audi on Römerallee. The 21-year-old driver from Alfter, on the run from the police, revved his adrenaline-filled engine and raced through the city center like a man possessed - risky maneuvers included! But the wild hustle and bustle came to an abrupt end!
At the dangerous junction of the B56 and B265, the young speedster's getaway car crashed into a traffic sign and was finally stopped. The subsequent inspection revealed a shocking truth: the driver was under the influence of drugs! The intoxication ended at the police because a blood sample was immediately taken from him - the fun was over! His driver's license also fell into the hands of the police.
