The new police council takes over in Rottenburg: This is what awaits the citizens!

A change in the leadership of the Rottenburg police station is imminent. On October 1, 2024, police council Philipp Kugler officially took over the management. This happened after the promotion of the first police chief commissioner Marco Renner, who has been leading the Hechat police station since March 1, 2024. Interimistic the area was headed by the first police chief commissioner Markus Ulrich, who now acts as deputy district manager.

Philipp Kugler brings a moving story in the police service. His career began training as an upscale police enforcement service in 2012, which he completed at the Baden-Württemberg University of Applied Sciences. Initially stationed in Böblingen, he continued his training in Villingen-Schwenningen. In 2016, after successfully completing studies, he was assigned to the Reutlingen police station. There he worked in an operational service group until 2019. His further career led him through different positions at the Reutlingen police headquarters.

In 2022, Kugler decided to expand his knowledge and skills by studying at the German University of the Police in Münster. After successful completion and promotion to the higher police enforcement service at the end of September 2024, he was now appointed head of the Rottenburg police station. In this new role, Kugler will be responsible for the security of the city of Rottenburg and the surrounding municipalities of Ammerbuch, Bodelshausen, Hirrlingen, Neustetten and Starzach.

The 34-year-old police council Kugler is married and father of two children and lives in Tübingen. With his wide -ranging knowledge and his previous experience with the police, it is expected to bring fresh impulses into the work of the area.
