In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old was injured with a broken knife blade in Frankfurt's train station district on the night of Monday to Tuesday. The incident occurred at 1:45 a.m. on “Am Hauptbahnhof” street when the young man was traveling with a companion. Suddenly a 39-year-old man approached them in an aggressive manner and asked them for money. When they refused, a heated argument broke out and escalated.
The perpetrator, armed with a sharp blade, threatened the victim and ultimately injured his thigh before fleeing. The police intervened and immediately secured surveillance videos from the area, which were crucial for identifying the perpetrator. A short time later, the 39-year-old was arrested by the federal police.
Injured man taken to hospital
The injured man was immediately taken to a hospital for medical treatment, but was fortunately able to be released after receiving outpatient care. The police found and secured the murder weapon, a broken knife blade, at the crime scene.
The arrested suspect was taken to police headquarters where further legal action will be taken. The investigation is ongoing and this dangerous incident is expected to have far-reaching consequences.
