Lüdenscheid, Kölner Straße, Deutschland - an exciting week for traffic safety in the Märkisches Kreis! On November 7, 2024, the police monitored the speed of hundreds of vehicles in two different locations. The results are alarming and prove the problem of frenzy in the closed area.

in Lüdenscheid, on Kölner Straße, were recorded between 8:00 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. over 1,000 vehicles. Here the police flash with a radar and found a frightening maximum value of 50 km/h - despite the permitted top speed of only 30 km/h! A driving violation was reported and potential culprit were clearly identified in the warning area of 55 km/h. Fortunately, driving bans failed to materialize.

Another surveillance point was Üttterlinger Strasse in Werdohl. 663 vehicles were measured there between 8:35 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The biggest speed violation was an incredible 60 km/h - also here with a limitation of 30 km/h! The police are faced with a total of 11 administrative offenses. There were no driving bans here either, but the recorded punishments are a clear sign of driving too fast in the region.

The police of the Märkische Kreis will continue to intensify their speed tests in order to raise awareness of traffic safety. The sober figures show: Renery remains a big problem that needs to be taken seriously. Watch on, driver!
