Fugitive person who caused an accident in Issendorf: Police ask for witnesses!

Stade (ots)

Chaos broke out in Issendorf on Wednesday morning at 9:15 a.m. when a 73-year-old Kia driver simply ran away after a spectacular accident! The man was driving on state road 123 and lost control of his vehicle between Issendorf and Horneburg. Like a wallflower, he scraped past a guardrail without paying any attention to the damage - and continued racing! Witnesses report a reckless driving style that forces other drivers to brake sharply to avoid more serious collisions. The police in Harsefeld are now urgently looking for additional witnesses who can provide information about this dangerous driver. If you have observed something, you should definitely call 04164-888260!

Bitter results from police checks in Stade

During traffic checks on Thursday, the Stade police uncovered what many would have preferred to leave in the dark: four men were driving without a valid driver's license. During the checks, a 32-year-old Harsefelder showed up in Hammah who was clearly too confident in his driving skills. A 56-year-old from Grünendeich also aroused suspicion because he did not rewrite his foreign driving license despite living in Germany for two years!

But that's not all! Three drivers aged 24, 28 and 34, all of whom come from Stade and Bad Zwischenahn, were caught driving under the influence of drugs. Urine or blood samples were the result, and nothing good is in store for these delinquents! A 66-year-old Mercedes driver in Neuenkirchen also couldn't hold back: after drinking alcohol, he crashed into a hedge and a traffic sign with a blood alcohol content of over 1.7 per mille. Of course he also had to take a blood test and his driver's license was lost!

The police are certain: the number of unreported cases is alarmingly high! Driving without or with an inadequate driving license as well as drug and alcohol abuse while driving are a major safety problem. The controls continue because the streets should become safer again!
