A shocking series of traffic accidents caused excitement in the region on Saturday evening and Sunday night! In Achim, a young woman from Bremen who was driving her Renault on Autobahn 27 towards Walsrode caused a spectacular accident: around 8:30 p.m., the 22-year-old lost control of her vehicle when she misjudged the speed of a car in front. The result? A violent impact against the concrete barrier, followed by a rollover! Fortunately, the young driver and her 24-year-old passenger only suffered minor injuries and had to be transported to a nearby hospital. The total damage is estimated at several thousand euros, and half of the highway had to be closed while the accident was being recorded!

Drunk drivers cause chaos

The chaos began during a check at the Oyten rest area: customs officers stopped a Romanian car and immediately smelled alcohol. The 20-year-old driver was checked by the Langwedel motorway police, and the result was alarming: a breath alcohol concentration of almost 1.5 per mille! The officers immediately initiated criminal proceedings, revoked the driver's license and requested a blood sample. Drunk driving seems to be a big problem!

The night was far from over for the police: Another incident occurred on Sunday night in Osterholz-Scharmbeck. A 22-year-old novice driver crashed his Audi into an electric fence at 12:30 a.m. after driving across a ditch without braking. Here, too, it was determined that the driver was significantly intoxicated! In addition to criminal proceedings, his driver's license was confiscated. A blessing in disguise: Fortunately, there were no injuries in this crash, but the damage amounts to around 5,000 euros.

Driver caught without a license

And that's not all! On Saturday morning, an overloaded van was checked on Autobahn 1, but the 34-year-old driver was not allowed to sit behind the wheel - he didn't have a driver's license! Investigations also revealed that the man is in the country illegally. Here too, investigations were initiated. The police are clearly showing that they are increasingly taking action against reckless driving and illegal practices!
