A massive police operation took place in the city of Oberhausen on Tuesday evening (November 12th), which put citizens on alert! From 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., police conducted a strategic manhunt aimed at stopping potential offenders in public spaces and checking their vehicles and personal belongings. This impressive policing tool has proven to be crucial in preventing imminent crime and increasing the community's sense of security. A strong police presence should keep criminals at bay!
The exciting results of the operation cannot be overlooked! A total of 121 people and 53 vehicles were checked, resulting in four preliminary arrests! Among those arrested were people who possessed illegal weapons and violated the weapons law. There were also a further 24 violations of the Residence Act and 16 identification service treatments due to suspicion of illegal residence. Not to forget the four catering establishments that were scrutinized by employees of the city of Oberhausen - there were serious violations here! A business had to close and four illegal gaming machines were taken offline!

Head of Public Order Michael Jehn praised the cooperation and made it clear how important such operations are in strengthening the trust of citizens.
