Burglary series in Bergen: Police are looking for witnesses after 12 burglaries!

Attention, mountains on Rügen! On November 10, 2024, the residents in the streets around Friedensstraße were shocked by a wave of burglaries that shook the peaceful neighborhood. Up to 12 burglaries into the basement of apartment buildings were recorded at night, the police are tirelessly determined and asks the citizens to take care of their surroundings.

The burglars made it easy: they broke through the entrance doors of the houses to get into the basement. While most cases left only low damage, there were a massive loss in two targeted actions in the area of Friedensstraße and Parkstrasse. Here, three e-bikes with a total value of 8,700 euros were stolen! The total damage is quantified on a nice 9,500 euros , plus 1,300 euros in property damage on the doors. A truly shocking scenario that could take safety in your own home!
