E-scooter stolen in Mendig: perpetrators strike at charger!

A shocking incident caused excitement in Mendig! In the night of November 17, 2024 there was a brazen theft between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. of the following day. An electric scooter that was parked in front of a house in Bahnstraße 74 and connected to a battery charger was stolen without further ado!

How the perpetrators did

The previous investigations show that the unknown thieves hired it cleverly: they simply separated the scooter from the charger and apparently pushed the vehicle unnoticed. A brazen deed! The value of the stolen e-scooter is estimated at around 1000 euros. While the investigations by the Mayen police are running, information from the population is asked. Every smallest detail could contribute to clarifying the case!
