In a dramatic night in Wilhelmshaven, the police were quickly forced to act thanks to an attentive witness! In the event of a theft from a parked transporter in Middelfelfährstraße, three men were arrested, who were observed in the process of having to stole valuable tools. At 11:42 p.m., the brave citizen contacted the police and reported on the suspicious activities that took place directly in front of her eyes.

The perpetrators had flashlights in their hands and loaded the stolen tool into their car before they fled towards Papingastraße. Immediate search measures led the officers directly to a dark Opel Zafira with a foreign license plate, which corresponded to the descriptions of the perpetrator. During the control, the police not only found two of the suspects in the vehicle, but also another man and a considerable amount of power tools right next to the car.

The three men aged 21 to 30 were immediately arrested, while the stolen vehicle and the tool were secured. Interestingly, however, the Oldenburg public prosecutor's office did not apply for a prison, so that the suspects were already free after the police measures were completed on Wednesday evening.

The police are currently investigating to uncover possible connections to other thefts in the urban area. She also calls on other witnesses to report: "The earlier the police are informed, the more effective we can act!"
