Frankfurt am Main - A brazen robbery in Terminal 1 of the Frankfurt Airport causes excitement! On Friday, November 8, 2024, unscrupulous thieves broke into the secured area of the rental car stations at 5:45 p.m. and stole a jewelry case worth an incredible 1.2 million euros. The goal of the perpetrators: a jewelry dealer and his colleague who unsuspectingly lingered at the crime scene.
After the incident, the police set all levers in motion. The plot was exposed to a meticulous video evaluation: at least four perpetrators were involved in the sophisticated theft! After intensive investigations, the officials succeeded in arresting the gang of criminals aged 63, 51, 49 and 43 on Sunday, November 10, 2024. The arrest happened around 3:00 p.m. when three of the crooks left their shelter with packed luggage.
Hidden jewelry find and arrest
The fourth suspect who tried to escape the police forces was also caught by the law enforcement officers shortly afterwards. During a search of the vehicle, the investigators found the hidden jewelry that was already ready for shipping. Hundreds of valuable jewelry, some of them with prices of up to 32,000 euros, were ready to leave the country!
The pickpockets were arrested directly and handed over to the responsibility of the police headquarters - now they are waiting for their judicial demonstration. A process that could go into the history books with an unprecedented thief history and dramatic twists!
