Doping affair: Jannik Sinner in the justice of the judiciary!

In German tennis there is currently plenty of excitement around Jannik Sinner. The renowned Italian player is confronted with serious allegations after the World-Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has appealed against its earlier relief. The International Sports Court (CAS) in Lausanne has already announced a hearing, but the appointment for the decision about Sinner's case is still pending.

The case developed in March, when Sinner was positively tested in two consecutive tests on Clostbol, a forbidden anabolic steroid. Despite these results, the tennis agency ITIA achieved an acquittal for the 23-year-old. This happened because no intentional or negligent act on the part of Sinners could be demonstrated.

Wada's demand for punishment and Sinner's reaction

However, Wada has a different view of the matter and considers the ITIA's decision to be incorrect. It demands a lock of up to two years for Sinner. However, it dispenses with additional deletion of services that have already been provided. This is particularly important because Sinner has recently won the US Open, which is currently making him one of the best players in the world.

At a last tournament in Beijing, Sinner announced that he was completely surprised and disappointed by the Wada complaint. However, he remains firmly convinced of his innocence and explains that the substance unintentionally came into his body over the hands of his physiotherapist. The latter had used a spray that contained over the counter-free closebol to treat Sinner's finger injury.
