In a clever fraud maneuver, an unknown crook robbed a 55-year-old woman from Münster of her money on Monday afternoon (October 21st, 2:26 p.m.). The trickster posed as a bank employee and gave the impression that her account was in danger. Apparently excited, the unsuspecting woman from Münster hung on the phone and allowed herself to be deceived. Trust is no longer safe!
The scammer told her that third parties had access to her account and to save her finances she had to immediately reveal personal information. When asked to open the Push-Tan app and confirm an order, the woman suspected nothing wrong - and actually confirmed an illegal debit from her account. The shock came later! After the conversation ended, she became suspicious and contacted her bank, only to learn the shocking news: her money was already gone!
