Car scene explodes: huge gatherings in Melle and Dissen!

At the weekend it happened in Melle and Dissen a.t.W. to a spectacular gathering of car enthusiasts that called the police into action more than once! On the night of Saturday to Sunday, at around 9 p.m., an estimated 100 vehicles overran the parking spaces on Industriestrasse in Melle. But that was just the beginning: Over the course of the night, the number exploded to an incredible 1,000 cars and around 2,500 people celebrating!

The atmosphere was exuberant, but the celebrations also led to unpleasant noise and the setting off of fireworks. This didn't let the law enforcement officers rest! At 10:30 p.m. the meeting was dissolved after untoward incidents and administrative offense proceedings were initiated. But the car scene wasn't ready to just go home. Part of the group headed towards Dissen, where they continued the night with around 400 vehicles and 500 people on Sommerkämpen Street!

Police operation confronts busy car scene

The spectacle continued in Dissen, but things didn't stay quiet here either! Further noise disturbances and inappropriate behavior led to further police operations. But the party was clearly on the home stretch: at around 12:20 a.m. the last cars left the scene, which finally ended the police operation. A truly turbulent weekend that was an unforgettable experience for both car lovers and officials!
