On October 17th, a 33-year-old man's car was stolen in Nettetal-Breyell. Just one day later, on the evening of October 18th, the stolen vehicle was rediscovered on Von Waldois Street. But before the owner could rejoice, the handcuffs clicked for the suspect! The 19-year-old German from Viersen was caught red-handed when he drove up in the stolen car at 9:30 p.m. The police had previously received a crucial tip and acted quickly!

Temporary arrest and no driving license

The young man was temporarily arrested, and the initial investigation revealed a shocking truth: he did not have a valid driver's license! This immediately caught the attention of the police, who also informed the traffic authority. While the 33-year-old got his car back, his joy remained clouded. Some personal items were missing and the vehicle was damaged. The investigation into this case is ongoing and the police will also examine further criminal charges.

This criminal spectacle once again shows how quickly a banal theft can turn into a dramatic arrest. The case shows that the police react quickly and take action against all injustice. The reappearance of the car has also raised the question of how often such thefts occur and what consequences the perpetrators ultimately have to face.
