On Friday, November 8, 2024, an 84-year-old woman from the island of Rügen experienced a real nightmare! Fraudsters were targeting her savings and called them under the pretext of being postbank employees. With a perfidious trick, they accused their bank account hacked. What happened then is terrifying: Together with a supposed bank employee, the senior citizen set up a long -distance maintenance program on her computer, which enabled the fraudsters to take control of their computer!

Unfortunately, the injured party only informed her house bank after this dangerous manipulation. But at this point it was already too late: several ten thousand euros had been debited from their account. Such brazen fraudsters use modern technologies to outsmart people in need, and the police urgently warns of these machinations. The shock is deep!
