14-year-olds vandalize cars in Seligenstadt – 50,000 euros in damage!

Seligenstadt– Chaos and destruction on Sunday morning: Two 14-year-olds damaged or broke into over 20 cars in an angry outburst! The police speak of property damage amounting to over 50,000 euros! The shock began at 6 a.m. when an alert witness reported her discovery. She saw two young people dressed in dark clothes working on a vehicle near the stone path, right next to the train tracks. Shortly afterwards the handcuffs clicked!

Rioters caught – but that's not all!

Police noted that numerous vehicles in the area were affected. In total, over twelve cars were damaged and nine were broken into! The crime scenes were in the Dammstrasse and Frankfurter Strasse area, not far from each other. The two-man gang apparently operated between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, leaving behind randomly scattered tools and garden equipment that may have come from other break-ins.

But that wasn't the teenagers' only bold act! At 5:30 a.m. they tried to break into a residential building on Dammstrasse, unsuccessfully leveraging the front door and setting off the alarm bells in a ground floor apartment! After their failed burglary spree, they fled - but not without first demolishing a commercial gate!

The police in Seligenstadt are now looking for more witnesses and victims. If you have seen something or are concerned, call 06182 8930-0! Follow the action as the investigation against the two boys continues!
