Joy Denalane and Max Herre: A love album for eternity!
Joy Denalane, the celebrated German soul and R&B singer, is making a strong statement in the music scene with her new joint album “Alles Liebe” together with her husband Max Herre, one of the most important personalities in German hip-hop. This album, released on November 1, 2024, marks not only their artistic union, but also a highlight of their career, as it entered the German album charts at number five in its first week. This connection will also be visible during their appearance at the Porta³ Festival in Trier from June 19th to 21st, 2025, where the Roman city gate Porta Nigra will provide an impressive backdrop for their performance, as on rlp-tourismus.com reported.
A musical path full of successes
Joy Denalane has had a remarkable career since her beginnings in the late 1990s, which began with the hit "Mit dir", a duet with Max Herre. Her 2001 debut album Mamani, which was certified Gold, took her musical style in a new direction and featured a mix of soul, jazz and Afro-pop elements. Her ability to excel in different genres is also evident in her discography, which includes six studio albums as of 2023. The latest album "Willpower" brings her sound into the late 1970s R&B feel, however it reached the lowest chart position of her career, falling to number 33, as Wikipedia determines.
The joint work by Denalane and Herre, which they are presenting in Trier, addresses universal aspects of love far from bourgeois conventions and promises a spectacle that takes viewers on a journey with soulful flair and hip-hop-inspired beats. The Porta³ Festival aims to offer a unique experience, with visitors being treated to an entry-free picnic concert on Sunday 22 June. The combination of talented artists and Trier's historic backdrop promises an outstanding event next year.
