Austrian footballer Florian Grillitsch has made a spectacular move and moved from TSG Hoffenheim to Real Valladolid in Spain on loan. As TSG announced late on Monday evening, the 50-time international midfielder will play for the currently bottom team in LaLiga until the end of the season. A purchase option for the talented player does not seem to have been set out in the contracts, as his contract with Hoffenheim runs until the end of June 2026. According to Hoffenheim's sports director Andreas Schicker, the change was discussed amicably and in view of Grillitsch's previous personal sporting situation.
Grillitsch has only appeared eight times in the Bundesliga this season and has not been in the squad since mid-November due to injuries. The impending move to an important club like Valladolid could provide the midfielder with the match practice he needs to get back into the spotlight. Valladolid, the club's president is Brazilian football star Ronaldo, is currently fighting to stay out of the relegation zone by just eight points and urgently needs fresh talent to save the season. The opportunity for Grillitsch to showcase his skills in another league could be the next step in his career.
