York's soul jazz: A concert full of musical passion!

On September 17, 2021, the German Multi instrumentalist, composer and producer York released his new album "The Souljazz Experience Vol. 1". This work was created during pandemic and combines York's extensive experience as Sideman for well -known artists such as Randy Crawford, Phil Collins and the Bahama Soul Club. His goal was to combine his passion for jazz and soul with a tribute to the 1960s film music.

The album shows a successful balance between musical accuracy and analog playback. York has already celebrated success in his own projects, including the German-African project "Culture Clan". With "The Souljazz Experience" he now dares to live out his creative freedom as a composer and producer in band format.

to the musical offer

York's new album comprises several highlights, such as the jazzy-groovy version of "I Can’t Get No Satisfaction" and the title "E Nobi do" recorded with the Portuguese jazz singer Guida de Palma. The musical compression of his experiences with the Bahama Soul Club is also reflected in "The Days in Brazil". The main thing of the album, "With a bit turmeric", shows the variety of work and is an example of the cool, danceable jazz with vintage soul and radio for which York is known.

The digital album can be streamed or downloaded on the Bandcamp platform for 12 euros. In addition, a CD edition for 13 euros and a limited 12 ″ vinyl edition are available for 16 euros. These formats contain unlimited streaming and high -quality download. The shipping takes place within three days.

album details and credits

For the musical arrangements, York got support from experienced musicians, including Joel Rosenblatt on the drums and Don Harris on the trumpet. All tracks were recorded in the Blue Sound Studio and mixed and mastered by York. The compositions all come from York, with the exception of the Rolling-Stones classic "I Can’t Get No Satisfaction", the rights of which are on ABKCO Music/NY. The album is released via Metrum Music Publishing/Germany.

The special pieces also include "BSC Tribute", a tribute to the Bahama Soul Club, and "YSL & BB", which contains avant -garde samples from Yves Saint Laurent and Brigitte Bardot. The end of the album is the play "Move & Groove", which conjures up a nostalgic atmosphere of the 1960s.

York, known for his excellent stage experience, has created another important mainstay in the music scene with “The Souljazz Experience”, which brings out his love for jazz and soul in an impressive way, as hannover.de reported. For the fans of soulful sounds, the album is certainly a highlight that demonstrates its creative versatility, which is also upperlevelrecords.BandCamp.com emphasized.
