New ambulatorium in Güssing: Finally gynecologist on site again!
The new State Ambulatorium for Gynecology in Güssing was opened today in a significant step to improve gynecological care in southern Burgenland. From tomorrow, Friday, the outpatient clinic under the direction of the specialist Irisz Balint is available to provide medical care for women in the Güssing and Jennersdorf area. The outpatient ratio will be open for the time being 20 hours per week, with the view of expansion in 2025, if a second doctor whose place is currently vacant will take up his work. Governor Hans Peter Doskozil emphasized the urgency of this measure to close a gap that cannot be filled by resident doctors. The Austrian health insurance fund acts as a contractual partner for the patients, which means that they do without cost contributions for treatment by the Balint.
In addition to gynecological care, the Güssing health center will soon be expanded in order to offer more comprehensive medical care. The location will not only include the gynecological department, but also other specialties and therapy offers to relieve the clinic. The Güssing Clinic, which is known as the southernmost location of Health Burgenland, already offers various medical services, including rheumatology and acute geriatrics. The clinic currently has 117 beds and employs 370 people to secure the health of the population in Güssing and Jennersdorf, as Gesundheits-Burgenland.at
