Cold wonder in Rostock: How to increase health and well-being!

Rostock. In the "Rostock cold chamber", freezing becomes a new trend treatment! Here brave people can expose themselves for three minutes of extreme cold - and that with frosty minus 90 degrees! Only in underwear, gloves, a hat and mouth protection, do the participants dare the adventure, which is supposed to promote health, well -being and even beauty. "It's like meditation for some," explains Anne-Katrin Dähn (38), co-owner of the refrigeration chamber.

The cold treatment is not only intended for athletes, but also attracts many people with chronic diseases. "The Piranhas are here, tennis players, professional athletes," said Dähn. Rheumatism patients also report noticeable pain relief. The cost of initial treatment is 19 euros, then 39 euros per application. But be careful: cold therapy is not recognized as medical therapy in Germany, and people with certain illnesses should consult a doctor before visiting.
