Welcome: exciting workshops on health and life cycles!

The Health Department Weilheim-Schongau is preparing for exciting events that are entirely devoted to the topic of "women-visible & healthy". With this initiative, the motto of the State Ministry of Health, Care and Prevention for 2024 focuses on. The pregnancy advice center has actively addressed women and girls to involve their wishes and needs regarding knowledge and further training in the workshops.

Three informative workshops are planned, which will take place over the coming weeks on various afternoons. The experienced educational officer Birgit Gebauer, who is known not only for her expertise, but also for her sensitive nature, will lead the events. The title "Women's whisperer" is also assigned to her, which points to her special ability to communicate with the participants and to offer them valuable insights.

Workshop details: an overview

The events deal with various stages of life and topics of being a woman. The first workshop, which takes place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., deals with the challenges and changes in puberty. It is mainly aimed at mothers of daughters of this age and to teachers and teachers. By using descriptive materials, the participants learn everything important about the physical changes during puberty. Questions like "What happens every month in the female body?" Or "How do I deal with my daughter's first period?" are in the center here. Helpful tips on hygiene products are also discussed.

The second workshop will follow on Sunday, October 13, 2024, also from 3 to 6.30 p.m. This is intended for women between the ages of 20 and 40 and is about the topic of "trip to the cycle of women". The focus is not only on biological knowledge, but also the emotional aspects associated with the cycle. The participants should be encouraged to reflect on their thoughts about being a woman and to develop a deeper understanding of the physical processes. On request, the mode of action of hormonal contraceptive methods is also discussed.

The end finally forms the event on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., which deals with menopause. This phase of life is often perceived as challenging, but the workshop would like to show that this is a natural change that can also bring positive aspects. The participants get an insight into the changes that take place from puberty to fertile years to menopause. Emotional changes and tips for pre-menopause form further important components.

All events take place in the Pettenkoffersaal of the Health Office Weilheim-Schongau, Eisenkramergasse 7. Registration is required by October 7, 2024 and can be made by phone at 0881/1609 or by email to healthfoerderung@lra-wm.bayern.de. Please note that the places are limited and that the registrations are taken into account in the order of the initiation. Then only a cancellation is sent if the event has already been booked.
