In a dramatic incident on Friday morning in Vienna-Landstrasse, a bank robbery was solved within a very short time. A 40-year-old Austrian robbed a bank branch on Landstraßer Hauptstrasse by threatening an employee with a fake weapon and demanding cash. He put the money in a bag and then fled in an unknown direction. But his escape didn't last long, because about half an hour after the attack he fell into the hands of the police, especially WEGA crown reported.
During the arrest, the police seized both the dummy weapon and the stolen money. Fortunately, no one was injured in this attack, the state police headquarters confirmed. This shows once again how quickly the law can strike to ensure safety in the city. The rapid reaction of the officers ensured that the potential perpetrator could not escape, which was also the case ORF reported. It is still unknown whether the man had already committed a crime before the attack.
