New Neos club chairman Yannick Shetty: Young voice for Austria's future!

With a clear sign of the future, the NEOS faction today chose Yannick Shetty as the new club chairman. The 29-year-old lawyer, who born in Vienna and grew up in Innsbruck, takes on the role of Beate Meinl-Reisinger, who is now a minister in the Foreign Office. Shetty will take on the position with extensive experience, which he has collected in two committees of investigation, among other things, where he has illuminated topics such as abuse of power and financial scandals. "I would like to thank you for the trust that my colleagues have shown me with your choice. I look forward to fighting with you in the National Council for a future -proof, liberal and just society," emphasizes the new club chairman.

While Shetty takes responsibility for the parliamentary group, he is supported by a strong presidium, which also includes Stephanie Krisper and Martina von Künsberg Sarre. Beate Meinl-Reisinger, who is now playing as a foreign minister, was already commenting from Brussels: "With Yannick Shetty at the top, we are ready to continue to demonstrate our reform and control power in parliament and especially to strengthen the boy's voice." Shetty, who successfully completed his law studies in 2021 and is also known as an active member of the LGBTIQ community, sees his new responsibilities not only as a challenge, but also as an opportunity to drive integration policy and equal opportunities in Austria. His choice not only marks a change of generation, but also a departure into new political dimensions for the NEOS.
