Maria Hahnenkamp: insights into the mysterious art of the present
in Belvedere 21 in Vienna, an important exhibition by the artist Maria Hahnenkamp will be opened from March 21st, which will be shown until August 31. Stella Rollig, General Director of the Belvedere, described the artist, who has been questioning social and feminist approach for decades with a mixture of critical and feminist approach. In the architecture designed by Walter Kräutler, visitors can expect over 100 works from 35 groups of work, which represent a fascinating spectrum of their art. The compilation is thematically structured and looks at central topics such as emptiness, space and the role of ornaments in art, which develop deeper meanings on closer inspection, such as Oots.at
The exhibition does not follow a linear chronological course, but focuses on the thematic links of their work. Visitors are invited to deal intensively with the art objects and their stories presented. In an increasingly visually flooded world, Hahnenkamp's game with visibility and invisibility challenges the viewer for reflection and aims to create awareness of the subtle subversion in art.
