Yesterday, donations worth around 45,000 euros were handed over to help the crypt, one of the best -known facilities for homeless people. "Not everyone can stay in the emergency quarters," she explains, since some psychological problems have or just want to stay alone.

But it's not just the direct help offers that count. Society is also called for action. Caritas' cold telephone can be used by anyone who discovers homeless in their surroundings so that help can be organized as soon as possible. "We are always looking for volunteers, especially in the cold season," said Caritas employees.
