Gabriele Eder-Cakl, director of the Austrian pastoral institute, found that many social debates on polarization and the discussion of values are based on international elections. The event included lectures, workshops and a panel discussion with renowned participants in order to present specific democratic projects. This lively discussion culture is a result of the endeavor to position the church as a key player in democracy, such as katholisch.at explained in detail.
