Fail in Austria: a taboo topic in the spotlight!
When it comes to failure, the thoughts of many people revolve around shame and fear. But it is precisely this topic that is devoted to the exciting "DOK 1" edition "G’schider by failure", which will be broadcast on ORF 1 on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Lisa Gadenstätter, the moderator, not only dares to take a look behind the scenes of defeats and failures in this documentation, but also speaks openly with celebrities about their personal failure experiences. As ots.at, among other things, the actress Valerie Huber will speak, among others, which is not afraid with their failures at castings. Ex-SPÖ Chancellor Christian Kern confesses to being failed by politics, while Anneliese Rohrer, one of the best-known journalists in Austria, addresses the wrong way of dealing with the topic in our country.
Immediately afterwards, the ORF shows a supplementary documentation with the title "failure as an opportunity - how we learn from mistakes". Here it becomes clear that dealing with mistakes can also offer new opportunities. The channels from orf and new territory shed light on how we can learn from failure and avoid them in the future. In areas such as medicine, aviation and energy supply, it has already been shown that many misfortunes can be averted by targeted prevention measures such as checklists and simulator training. Despite the fear associated with errors, research also shows that error -friendly cultures are more innovative and adaptable.
In a courageous self -experiment, Lisa Gadenstätter creates her own "CV of failure" to understand how we deal with failure socially. The topic of failure is not only de -dramatized, but the documentation calls on everyone to reflect on their own handling of mistakes. It becomes clear that to talk about mistakes is anything but easy that Gadenstätter illustrates in the interviews with their interlocutors: inside. With a mixture of personal stories and well -founded research, this documentary series becomes an impressive testimony of human resilience and the ability to get up again after falling.
