Autumn program for women: strong topics and free workshops!

On September 19, the women's academy starts in cooperation with the Carinthian Adult Education Center, which focuses on important topics such as mental load, self -valuation and self -determination. This initiative aims to support women in their everyday life and to strengthen their resources. Registration for the courses takes place directly via the adult education center, which in addition to the academy also offers free self -defense courses.

These self -defense courses also start in September and offer interested parties the opportunity to train themselves in several units. The exact dates are:

  • Fr, 19. September, 17:00–20:00 Uhr
  • Sa, 20. September, 10:00–13:00 Uhr
  • Fr, 28. November, 17:00–20:00 Uhr
  • Sa, 29. November, 09:00–12:00 Uhr

Workshop for single parents

Another highlight in the program is the workshop for single parents, which will take place on October 1st in the Bambergsaal. Under the motto "strong together", potential and needs of this special target group are discussed - an important platform for exchange and support. The event also offers free childcare to facilitate participation.

The workshop is carried out on Wed, October 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Bambergsaal in the Parkhotel.

In addition, a girls' film day in the city cinema will be held on October 11th in cooperation with the Equaliz association. The film "Little Women" is shown and admission is free. Spectators can look forward to free snacks as long as stocks last. The performance takes place at 5:30 p.m. in the city cinema in Villach.

Mental load in focus

A central topic that is addressed by the program is the concept of the mental load. A seminar approaches the effects of these often invisible and underestimated thinking. Women often bear the main burden of mental responsibility in a private and professional context, which means that they act as "care". This is also confirmed by studies that show that the social framework and conventions further influence the mental load.

The aim of the seminar is to share knowledge and strategies with each other in order to avoid overload due to invisible thinking. This is particularly relevant for HR managers who work as part of prevention, health and resilience. The goals are also supported by the Federal Foundation Equality, which examines and documented institutional mechanisms to promote gender equality.

Finally, the Federal Foundation Equality provides valuable insights into institutional mechanisms that affect equality policy.
