In the night of Thursday, November 21, the A3 turned into a chaotic battlefield from stuck trucks and crashed cars. The streets were a single mess when the first snowflakes fell and the drivers were confronted with smooth conditions. A serious accident between Ransbach-Baumbach and Dierdorf ensured hours of closure and a traffic chaos that kept the rescue workers in suspense.

A truck had lost control and pushed several vehicles into one another after the driver could not slow down in time. Three people were slightly injured and the fire brigade had to free two other people from their cars. The property damage? A shocking six -digit amount! The emergency services were busy cleaning up until 4 a.m.

But not only the A3 was affected! In the district of Limburg-Weilburg there were several trucks and heavy transport on the snow-covered federal roads. Bus traffic in the Rheingau-Taunus district came to a standstill in the morning, and there were also weather-related accidents in the Lahn-Dill district. In the Rhön, a stray vehicle had to help a stuck truck on a steep country road. The German Weather Service continues to warn of frost and smoothness throughout the state, and drivers should prepare for further winter challenges!
