Fatal accident in Kirchheim: 17-year-old dies on B 297!

A 17-year-old driver of a light motorcycle fell alone in a right-hand bend for unknown reasons and sustained such serious injuries that he died on site despite immediate first aid measures. The young man was driving his Aprilia towards Kirchheim around 12:30 a.m. when he lost his balance about 300 meters after leaving Reudern and ended up under a guardrail. The police initially ruled out foul play and the Reudern volunteer fire department was on site to clean the road and illuminate the scene of the accident. The truck, which weighed several tons, left the road, overturned and slid onto the adjacent embankment, losing a large amount of concrete. The 53-year-old driver, who had lost control of the vehicle, was able to free himself through the emergency exit hatch in the roof of the driver's cab.
