A tragic traffic accident occurred on the B56 in the Oberwart district when a car collided with another vehicle. According to bvz.at there was a death in the collision. A passenger died while another seriously injured and was flown to the University Hospital Graz with the emergency doctor helicopter "Christophorus 16". The three other inmates of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were brought to the accident outpatient clinic of the Oberwart hospital.

The Burgenland State Security Center announced that a total of four people were injured by the accident, with everyone being taken to the hospital. The fire brigade and police were also on site to carry out the rescue of the vehicle because several fire engines were necessary.
