Snow yield in Gifhorn: Line bus slides in Graben, all saved!

In the Gifhorn district, there were recently two different traffic accidents that are related to winter weather conditions. On October 9th there was an incident with a regular bus, while a fatal accident on the B248 happened on Sunday evening.

Firefighters of the weirs Rethen, my and large Schwülper were alerted. A total of 15 people, including 14 passengers and the driver, were included on the bus, but no injuries were reported.

The fire brigade immediately started rescue measures, which included building a rescue platform and removing a side window of the bus. Fortunately, all occupants were able to leave the vehicle independently, including two children. After the rescue, the passengers were brought to the Rethen fire station and looked after there. The transport company organized several replacement vehicles, which were not used, however, since the passengers were picked up elsewhere. The fire brigade ended at around 8 p.m., while the buses continued to continue.
